Following its premiere in 2009 with the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra\u2014featuring soloist and leader Pekka Kuusisto\u2014the piece was also performed by the Iceland Symphony and Jyv\u00e4skyl\u00e4 Symphony Orchestras. This time, owing to Pekka\u2019s illness, fellow Finnish violinist Minna Pensola took over the other solo part.
